Public prosecutors said Tuesday they have served arrest warrants on three aides to indicted lawmaker Muneo Suzuki on suspicion of failing to declare around 100 million yen in donations to Suzuki's fund management body.
The warrants were served by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office on 54-year-old Akira Miyano and 50-year-old Jun Tada, both of whom have already been indicted on separate charges, along with 66-year-old Reiko Sato. All three are suspected of violating the Political Funds Control Law.
Moreover, prosecutors are also poised to charge 54-year-old Suzuki himself with instructing his aides to conceal the donations, according to informed sources.
