An increasing number of people -- especially young women -- are visiting dental clinics. They're not having cavities drilled, but having their teeth whitened.
As people become more conscious about the appearance of their teeth, more dental clinics are rising to the business occasion and catering to patients' needs.
"Aesthetic dental treatment used to be something special for a limited number of people, such as celebrities and people whose teeth became discolored from the side effects of certain antibiotics," said Tomoyuki Tsubaki, a dentist and president of Teethart Co., a pioneer among the growing number of aesthetic dental clinics focusing on teeth bleaching.
