Hitachi Ltd. has unveiled what it calls the world's first liquid-cooled notebook personal computer.
Hitachi plans to put the new notebook on the market by September and to apply the system to other information devices in the future. It is expected to cost around 200,000 yen.
Hitachi said the system is designed to dissipate heat from a high-speed microprocessor.
In general, the greater the data processing speed of a microprocessor, the greater the amount of heat it releases.
