NTT DoCoMo Inc., U.S. software giant Oracle Corp. and Oracle's subsidiary in Japan said Wednesday they have agreed to develop products and services using DoCoMo's cellular phones, and Oracle's database and server systems.
The services will give users wireless access from outside Oracle's database systems and servers via mobile phones.
Technologies to be used include DoCoMo's third-generation mobile phones with broader data transmission capability and a global positioning system to pinpoint a user's location.
The three companies will study joint marketing of the services on the world market, they said.
