A headless, limbless human torso was found Tuesday morning in a plastic bag at a trash collection site in front of an apartment building in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, police said.
The naked torso was double-bagged in half-translucent, cream-colored vinyl bags designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for use in garbage collection, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The head, forearms and lower parts of the body had been chopped off and could not be found, MPD officials said.
