Crown Prince Naruhito left for the Netherlands on Wednesday to attend the wedding of Dutch Crown Prince Willem Alexander.
During his stay in the Netherlands until Sunday, the Crown Prince will attend the wedding ceremony of the Dutch crown prince and Maxima Zorreguieta, 34, of Argentina, in a church in Amsterdam and a wedding reception at a royal palace Saturday, according to the Imperial Household Agency.
Crown Prince Naruhito is also scheduled to attend a dinner hosted by Dutch Queen Beatrix. He will return to Japan on Monday.
Princess Masako, who gave birth to Princess Aiko on Dec. 1, will not accompany her husband, according to the government.
