Takaoka Electric Manufacturing Co. and Toko Electric Corp. said Thursday they have agreed to tie up in the field of distribution equipment for electric power.
The alliance is aimed at cutting research and development costs and improving operational efficiency, the two electrical-machinery makers said.
Under the agreement, the companies will promote joint research and development, as well as designing programs for power-transmission equipment.
Products' maintenance and distribution will also be jointly promoted by the two firms, they added.
