Tokyo police on Thursday arrested four former senior executives of the failed Chogin Tokyo credit union on suspicion that they withheld data from government investigators in 1998.
Police arrested four of the 10 former executives of the credit union who were summoned for questioning earlier in the day on suspicion that they failed to submit data on loan recipients to government inspectors, police sources said.
Those arrested were Chong Gyong Saeng, 64, and Sin Byong Jung, 54, both former Chogin Tokyo presidents; and Son Jin Nam, 40, and Bak Haeng Gang, 52, both Chogin Tokyo executives, the sources said.
