OSAKA -- A 17-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of killing a 16-year-old female, police said.
The teenager, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, is suspected of murdering Wakako Tokuda, a restaurant employee who was found strangled in her boyfriend's apartment Oct. 26, the police said.
Tokuda, from Kobe, lived with her boyfriend in Osaka's Chuo Ward, the police said, adding she ran away from home last December after being scolded by her father for wearing earrings. Her parents had filed a missing person's report with local police.
