Popular writer and Buddhist preacher Jakucho Setouchi said in a recent interview that the U.S.-led attacks on Afghanistan will only contribute to the cycle of hatred and animosity and solve nothing.
Setouchi said that she recently met the parents of Takashi Ogawa, a 37-year-old systems consultant at Nomura Research Institute, who worked on the 106th floor of the World Trade Center's north tower in New York.
The tearful parents, whom she met at a Tokyo hotel about 10 days after the attack, told her their son had been in the building when it was destroyed in the terrorist attack, she said.
