Struggling supermarket-chain operator Daiei Inc. on Friday reported unconsolidated net losses of 3.99 billion yen for the March-August term.
The operator posted net profits of 779 million yen a year earlier.
The company blamed the declining value of group firms' stocks and increased costs to close unprofitable subsidiaries, company officials said.
