The United States has begun its retaliatory strikes in Afghanistan as expected, but doubts remain strong about whether the almighty dollar can weather the storm.
As happened on the day of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, the dollar has once again come under selling pressure on the world currency market.
And the rule of thumb that the dollar should be bought in times of emergency has been widely ignored as well.
