In a bid to woo back decreasing overseas passengers, Continental Airlines Inc. said Thursday it will offer discounts for couples from seven Japanese airports either to Saipan or Guam from Sunday to Nov. 10.
The seven are Chitose, Sendai, Nagoya, Niigata, Kansai, Okayama and Fukuoka airports. Return tickets from Chitose, for example, for two people will be priced at 60,000 yen. The standard price is 78,000 yen per person.
The Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States has discouraged overseas passengers, pushing down reservations last month by about 30 percent from last year, a company spokesman said.
