Japanese and South African business leaders agreed at a forum in Tokyo on Wednesday that they will further cooperate to promote investment and trade in the natural resource, automobile and information technology industries.
About 80 corporate executives from the two countries discussed various economic issues at the first meeting of the South Africa-Japan Business Forum, which was set up in July.
Leslie Boyd, chairman of the South Africa-Japan Economic Cooperation Committee, a business organization in South Africa, said companies from both countries can cooperate to increase growth in manufacturing.
