Honda Motor Co. may have to review its North American strategy depending on developments following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in the United States, the company president said Tuesday.
For the moment, Honda's North American operation is proceeding normally, but the company may have to make changes if U.S. retaliatory actions continue for a prolonged period, Hiroyuki Yoshino said.
"At the moment, we can't really tell (how the U.S. will act), so we'll have to wait for a while to see how things turn out," he said.
Honda's production foothold in Pakistan is continuing operations, although its 12 Japanese staff have already left the country, he added.
