The Cabinet Office said Tuesday that Heizo Takenaka, state minister in charge of economic and fiscal policy, and U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill will meet this evening at Takenaka's office.
They will exchange views on economic issues facing the United States and Japan for about 30 minutes, the Cabinet Office said.
O'Neill is to visit Japan after attending a meeting of finance ministers from the 21-member Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Suzhou, China, on Saturday and Sunday.
