There appears a good chance the U.S. Federal Reserve will lower interest rates again at its Oct. 2 policy-setting committee meeting.
The Federal Open Market Committee cut key short-term interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point last week in line with expectations.
It was the seventh reduction in eight months, bringing the cumulative decline since Jan. 3 to 3 percentage points.
