OSAKA -- Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Thursday it will release an "ultra portable" liquid crystal display projector that will enable users to give multiple wireless presentations.
The Panasonic TH-L712NTJ, due to be released internationally Aug. 1, is the industry's smallest projector, weighing in at only 4 kg, Matsushita said.
By inserting a wireless LAN card into a personal computer, users can transmit data from their computer to the projector. The LAN cards will be sold separately.
Users utilizing a number of personal computers with the LAN card can hold interactive presentations, Matsushita said.
The system helps users to overcome physical limitations such as the number of input terminals and cable length, the company said.
The projector, priced at 848,000 yen, will be on show at an international exhibition in Las Vegas next week, it said.
