OSAKA -- Art Corp., Japan's largest moving company, said Wednesday it has agreed to tie up with U.S. firm Allied International Inc. in the international moving business.
The two companies will begin jointly providing a service called "The 0123 Allied" on Oct. 1. It is aimed at Japanese households going abroad or returning and those relocating from one foreign country to another, a spokesman for Art said.
The company hopes to receive more orders through its tieup with Allied International, which has a network of around 1,500 outlets in 38 countries.
Allied International aims to make a full-fledged entry into Japanese market through the venture, the spokesman said.
