Perhaps you may wonder why as of Jan. 6 the Okurasho (Finance Ministry) is being called the Zaimusho and why various changes are being made within this administrative bureau.
On Dec. 1 last year, the Cabinet decided that to enhance the financial vitality and organization of the Japanese government for future generations, it has become necessary to make sweeping administrative and fiscal changes to many governmental bureaus and systems as quickly as possible.
