Kako, the 6-year-old daughter of Prince Akishino and his wife, Princess Kiko, graduated Thursday from her kindergarten in Tokyo's Toshima Ward.

Clad in a dark blue kindergarten uniform, Kako arrived at the Gakushuin Kindergarten in the morning with her parents to attend the graduation ceremony.

The three were greeted by kindergarten director Shinsaku Takagawa.

Fifty-two children -- 26 boys and 26 girls -- concluded their time at the kindergarten at the ceremony, which was held in a school playroom, school officials said.

Kako is now set to enroll in the primary level of the same school in the spring.

Prince Akishino is the second son of the Emperor and Empress. Kako is the younger of his and the princess' two daughters.
