Struggling carmaker Mitsubishi Motors Corp. on Thursday denied a report that it is in talks with Swedish truck maker AB Volvo to end their tieup in the truck business.
"The basic policy agreed in July 2000 between Mitsubishi Motors and Volvo is unchanged and we have received no notice from Volvo to change the policy," Mitsubishi said in a brief statement. The Asahi Shimbun reported in its Thursday evening edition that Mitsubishi and Volvo would agree to terminate the deal by the end of this month at the earliest.
