Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Monday it has allied with 2Roam Inc., a U.S. wireless software and service provider, to offer a mobile solutions service in Japan.
The tieup with the California-based company will enable Matsushita to give customers the ability to deliver Web site content to mobile devices without having to acquire additional servers or engineering staff.
The U.S. firm's platform is compatible with all global wireless protocols and standards, including NTT DoCoMo's i-mode, J-Phone's J-Sky service, and KDDI/au's EZweb.
The solution will be offered to clients who wish to convert their sites to i-mode, EZweb, and/or J-Sky, as well as to those who want to add EZWeb and/or J-Sky channels to i-mode sites.
