With about 150 used-book stores in addition to ordinary bookstores and publishing houses, Kanda Jinbo-cho in Chiyoda Ward is a cultural asset that Tokyo and all of Japan can be proud of.
Despite the town's name, JR Kanda Station is not the best access point to the bookstore district, with the Mita and Hanzomon subway lines offering more convenient access.
With the world's densest concentration of used-book stores, Jinbo-cho is a treasure trove for book lovers.
