Police in October discovered a photo negative of Briton Lucie Blackman dated July 1 last year -- the day she disappeared -- in searches of properties linked to alleged serial rapist Joji Obara, it was learned late Friday.
Blackman appears with the sea in the background, the sources said, adding the negative is believed to have been taken by Obara himself somewhere near his condominium in Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture, on the evening of July 1.
Blackman's dismembered body was recently found in Miura, about 20 km from Zushi, in a seaside cave roughly 200 meters from another condo owned by Obara, a wealthy 48-year-old property developer.
