The Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward will begin offering broadband Internet access in each of its 1,485 rooms in April, hotel officials said Tuesday.
The free 24-hour service, offering a maximum speed of 3 megabytes per second, will be the fastest of its kind at a domestic hotel, the company said.
The hotel will provide connection devices on request when a customer makes a reservation.
The hotel's local network has a maximum capacity of 10 Mbps, which will enable it to boost connection speeds in the future if necessary, the hotel said.
