Merrill Lynch and Co. will move its Japan headquarters to a building under construction on the site of the now-closed flagship outlet of Tokyu Department Stores Co. in Nihonbashi.
The office, currently located in Otemachi, will move into the new building when construction is completed in March 2004, company officials said Monday.
In a merger of subsidiaries, the U.S. brokerage house is set to integrate Merrill Lynch Japan Inc., specializing in the wholesale securities business, into Merrill Lynch Japan Securities Co., which focuses on retail business, in March.
