The Bank of Japan is compiling a list of measures to provide sufficient funds to banks in case of continued market volatility, BOJ Gov. Masaru Hayami said Tuesday.
Conventionally, the central bank adjusts liquidity and money supply by influencing interest rates.
"Now is an extremely good time to consider what else we can do," Hayami said. "We don't know how the overseas market and share prices are going to change, and it would be good to have some ideas on hand."
