A bloodstained sweat shirt that police suspect belonged to the person who killed a family of four on the weekend at a house in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward was one of a few hundred of the same kind sold only in Setagaya and Suginami wards, investigative sources said Thursday.
The white sweat shirt with purple sleeves was probably sold sometime after September for around 2,000 yen, they said.
The sweat shirt, found in a living room on the second floor of the house, was turned inside out and had large bloodstains on its front and cuffs that reportedly matched the blood of one or more of the victims.
