The Crown Prince and the Crown Princess on Monday took Belgian Crown Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde to the Tokyo National Museum to view artifacts unearthed in Japan from the Neolithic period.
The Belgian crown prince and princess, who are on a private visit, arrived in Japan on Sunday after a trip to Australia to see the Olympic Games.
Earlier in the day, the two couples met for lunch at the residence of the Belgian ambassador to Tokyo.
The Crown Prince and the Crown Princess attended the wedding of the Belgian royal couple in Brussels in December last year.
The Belgian royal couple had dinner later in the day with the Emperor and the Empress and their daughter Princess Sayako at the Imperial Palace.
