Finance Minister Kiichi Miyazawa returned to Japan Monday morning from Prague, where he attended a meeting Saturday of finance ministers and central bank chiefs of the Group of Seven.
Bank of Japan Gov. Masaru Hayami and Haruhiko Kuroda, vice finance minister for international affairs, stayed in the Czech capital to take part in international financial conferences of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The finance minister returned earlier because of his tight schedule due to the extraordinary Diet session that convened last week.
Hayami is scheduled to return home Wednesday.
