Nomura Securities Co. will tie up with Japan Airlines Co. to give JAL mileage points to customers who trade securities online, Nomura officials said Monday. The offer, open to members of Nomura Home Trade who are also registered with the JAL Mileage Bank, begins Oct. 1.
Members of Nomura Home Trade will be offered 100 miles' worth of points for every 10,000 yen they run up per month in trading commission fees. Nomura Home Trade has about 330,000 members.
JAL's Mileage Bank has more than 7 million members, who can get free airline tickets and travel coupons when they accumulate sufficient points by using flights and hotels operated by JAL.
