About 20 were injured Saturday when a sightseeing bus they were riding in collided head-on with a Ground Self-Defense Force truck in the town of Ashoro, central Hokkaido, police said.
Police said the collision occurred on national Route 241 at around 9:50 a.m. Ashoro is about 170 km east of Sapporo.
The bus was carrying about 40 tourists who were on a four-day tour that started Friday.
