OSAKA -- Police on Saturday identified the body of a woman found adrift in May in waters off Bizen, Okayama Prefecture, as that of an Osaka woman who had been missing since early April, police said.
The body was identified as that of 81-year-old Koharu Miyahata of Osaka's Higashinari Ward, who was reported missing soon after receiving 35 million yen in cash for her real estate, police investigators said.
Osaka and Okayama prefectural police on Saturday began questioning a few men involved in the real estate deal, suspecting that the woman, who had a concrete slab fastened to one of her legs, was killed through foul play, they said.
