Sega Enterprises Ltd. said Monday it will release a digital video-telephone camera to connect to its Dreamcast video game console Sept. 14, allowing two-way video conversations between Dreamcast users.
The camera, named Dreameye, will also allow the transmission of still pictures and short video images, the company said.
The camera will carry a price tag of 14,800 yen, Sega said.
The company will also release the same day a package of goods aimed at allowing access to the Internet using Dreamcast in a bid to attract Internet novices, mainly housewives, Sega said.
The package will include special software and a keyboard priced at 7,800 yen.
