Toyota Motor Corp. said Friday it will provide a service for printing digital photos through its Gazoo electronic commerce Web site, starting in late August.

Subscribers will send pictures taken using digital cameras to the site via personal computers and other electronic terminals. The photos will be stored in the host computer or printed out and mailed to people by request, Toyota said.

The service will be provided in conjunction with Digipri Corp., a Tokyo company that sells digital images, the top Japanese automaker said.

Basic fees for use of the service are expected to be around 500 yen, with printing likely to cost 40 yen.

While Toyota will initially offer the service only on the Gazoo site, it is considering making it available through its G-Tower multipurpose information terminals to be installed in affiliated dealerships and other locations.
