The Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office indicted former Construction Minister Eiichi Nakao on Thursday on charges of receiving 30 million yen in bribes from Wakachiku Construction Co. between June 1996 and September 1996.
Nakao, 70, was indicted July 21 for allegedly accepting another 30 million yen in bribes from Wakachiku in October 1996.
The veteran Liberal Democratic Party politician, who lost his House of Representatives seat in the June 25 general election, has admitted to both sets of charges, investigative sources said.
