The Tokyo Stock Exchange on Tuesday signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement with the Australian Stock Exchange, exchange officials said.
The pact is part of the TSE's bid to increase its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, as its domestic rival, the Osaka Securities Exchange, steps up cooperation with the U.S. Nasdaq stock market.
The agreement centers on promoting information exchange on market surveillance and working on ways of improving the operations of the two markets.
