OSAKA -- Convenience store chain operator Lawson Inc. said it was recalling 7,700 box lunches from its stores in Osaka and Hyogo prefectures in western Japan following complaints from customers.
Lawson received about 30 complaints from customers since Saturday morning regarding two kinds of box lunches, saying they smelled strange or tasted sour.
The recall applies to 7,000 packs of "Tokusei-orizumegyudon" and 700 packs of "Yokubaribento," both prepared at a factory in Kobe on Friday.
