The support rate for Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori's Cabinet rose slightly over the past two months, but still remains far below the percentage of people who disapprove of his administration, according to a Kyodo News public opinion poll released Wednesday.
According to the poll, conducted Saturday and Sunday, 32.4 percent of respondents -- up 2.8 percentage points from the previous poll in late May -- said they support Mori's Cabinet, while 59.9 percent expressed their dissatisfaction, a drop of 0.8 point.
The survey received valid answers from 64.3 percent of 3,000 eligible voters nationwide.
