A government commission on Wednesday unveiled a list of 97 items -- focusing mainly on information technology and the environment -- to be reviewed for further deregulation in the current fiscal year.
The deregulation commission is expected to call for public comment on the items and present a report of its discussions, slated to begin in the fall, to the prime minister in December, government officials said.
However, because some issues, such as those linked to IT, will require speedy deliberations due to the rapid pace of innovation and technology in the field, the commission may issue an interim report in the fall.
