NAGO, Okinawa Pref. — Russian President Vladimir Putin will make an official visit to Japan from Sept. 3 to Sept. 5, Tokyo and Moscow formally agreed Sunday.
Putin and Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori set the date for the president's Japan visit during talks Sunday afternoon, which followed the conclusion of the Group of Eight summit earlier in the day.
During the visit, the two will focus on various bilateral and international issues in a bid to comprehensively enhance Japan-Russia ties, a Japanese official said.
