OSAKA -- Not many Japanese know this, but the corporate concierge business is booming in the United States and Sara-ann Kasner predicts the same will soon happen in Japan.
Kasner, president of the National Concierge Association in the U.S., said the corporate concierge business has strong potential for growth in Japan, a service-oriented country where busy executives want their personal needs fulfilled just as much as their American counterparts.
"It is a new concept for Japan," Kasner said in an interview. "(But) if (Japanese) business executives understand that concierges have all the expert information they need to have, I think it would be tremendously popular."
