Nissan Motor Co. President Carlos Ghosn said Friday that the firm may reconsider a plan to put new investment in its Sunderland plant in northeastern England, which he says is suffering from the high value of the pound.
Ghosn also said that the firm is now negotiating with Delphi Automotive Systems of the United States to sell its stake in Calsonic Kansei Corp., the largest auto-parts maker within the Nissan group.
A media report said Friday that the U.S. auto-parts maker is mulling a 33.4 percent stake in Calsonic, thereby becoming the largest shareholder.
