Experts trying to find the cause of a fatal train crash near Tokyo's Nakameguro Station have succeeded in making a train wheel lift off the tracks at the spot where the accident happened, but they have yet to pin down the actual reason for the derailment that caused the crash, Transport Ministry officials said Sunday.
A four-day series of test runs at the scene of the crash ended shortly before dawn on Sunday.
Five people were killed and nearly 40 injured in the accident, in which the lead wheels on the rear carriage of a train approaching the station derailed and it collided with a train that had just left the station during the morning rush hour on March 8.
