Police have identified the license plate of a van suspected to have picked up the two men who firebombed a telephone dating club here early Thursday, killing four patrons, they said Friday.
Investigators are trying to identify the owner of the vehicle, they said.
According to investigative sources, the brown Toyota van was witnessed picking up two men after Thursday's firebomb attack on the Rin-Rin House Motomachi club in Chuo Ward. Four customers were killed and three other people were injured.
A man was seen waiting in the vehicle while the attackers threw a Molotov cocktail into the club, they said.
