A Tokyo-based organization is advertising on the Internet a nursing care home in China that will take in elderly Japanese suffering from senile dementia, it was learned Friday.
The ad on the organization's Web site says the Chinese staff of the nursing home provide one-on-one services for individual elderly people on a 24-hour basis for a relatively low cost. The price includes a funeral urn.
However, a local government official at Yingkou, Liaoning Province, where the facility is located, said it had not been able to get the central government's approval for the home to accept elderly foreign nationals.
