Asian and American journalists will discuss various issues and aspects under the theme of "Peace and Security in Asia in the 21st Century," in a symposium to be held next Wednesday in Tokyo.
At the annual Asia-Pacific Journalists Meeting, hosted by Foreign Press Center Japan, eight journalists from the region will exchange views on the topics of "China's future" and "What does globalization mean to Asia?"
The panelists include the Tokyo bureau chiefs of the New York Times, South Korea's Hankok Ilbo and the China Youth Daily; senior editors from the Jakarta Post, Thailand's The Nation, and Malaysia's New Straits Times, and two Japanese journalists.
