The Education Ministry will set up a panel to review medical school curricula for students with bachelor degrees in other fields, to allow people with more varied backgrounds to study medicine.
The panel, which is to be launched Friday, aims to widen the chances for graduates of such faculties as law and other sciences to study medicine.
At the same time, the ministry also hopes to correct the reality that some students who study medicine do so without a clear motive, and only because university medical departments are considered the toughest to enter.
