Police turned over to prosecutors Friday the case against Nippon Credit Bank and three of its former executives for alleged violation of the Securities and Exchange Law through the falsification of earnings reports at the now-nationalized bank.
The three executives are former Chairman Hiroshi Kubota, 68, former President Shigeoki Togo, 55, and former Vice President Tadao Iwaki, 61. The case against three other former NCB executives, including 54-year-old former Managing Director Seiji Yagi, have already been sent.
Tokyo prosecutors were expected to indict the former executives later in the day, when their period of detainment was to have run out.
